I enjoyed hearing from Fred Way, and his discussion of the standards of recovery facilities and how his work handles different violations at different facilities. In the past, there have been many instances of poor treatment and poor conditions in recovery facilities and the job that Fred Way and his employees are doing is important in maintaining these facilities and keeping them running.
The story Fred talked about during his discussion regarding the woman who was dead for six days in a recovery facility really highlights the importance of his work, and how there are still uncertified facilities that are neglecting their residents. Not only is this unacceptable, it is inhumane, and the work Fred is doing will hopefully help shed light, and bring an end to the problem.
