Freddie Laboy of Prevention Point spoke about medication-assisted recovery, and discussed his experiences as a certified recovery specialist. He discussed some of the barriers that people face when trying to get housing while on medication-assisted recovery.

He also brought up a point that has been a common theme throughout the semester, that every person’s recovery is unique, and that people respond to different treatments in different ways. This is why medication-assisted recovery is better for some, while complete sobriety may work well for others. Either way, it is important to note that there is not true one solution that works for everyone, every time.
