It was an honor listening to Barb Williamson come and speak to our class about her experience in recovery. She gave a little background about her struggles with drugs and alcohol and the dark places they brought her. She expressed that it broke relationships with her family and left her feeling alone. She explained that there was a point in time when she was homeless in Kensington Philadelphia. That all changed when she sought out help and discovered sobriety.

Barb explained that she now has multiple years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. She spent time in sobriety houses learning the ways of recovery and what she would need to do to maintain it. She now owns 13 different sobriety houses herself and helps people struggling with substance abuse on a daily basis. It was truly an honor to listen to Barb share her story.
